An interesting snippet I came across recently in the Roydon PR's, a
pity all Parish Clerks weren't this forthcoming with their entries.....

NB. This marriage was not held to be good as it was proved that John HAWS was
under age & the parents consent had not been obtained & they did not cohabit
afterwards as he was immediately taken away by Sergeant as a Deserter on whose
custody he was at the time of the ceremony & she remained in Roydon.
