Hello Jai,
I do research and can help you. I do most of my work from London, but also
Suffolk as my father's family is from there.
I would suggest a look at the 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1891 Censuses as
they will give information about family groups and which parishes to look in
for Baptisms.
I have access to these and prices are quoted on my web site. 6 (pounds
sterling) for each search. There are indexes for 1851 & 1881 which give a
reference, so that we don't spend hours searching long films. From these two
years, birth places give an indication as to where to look in the other
years.
If you are interested, a budget of 30 - 45 to start with should give you a
lot of information about parents, children, grandparents, cousins, aunts &
uncles - their birth places and approximate year of birth, who they married
and within a few years when they died.
>From this material, you will know which parish registers to search for dates
before civil registration. (Also in the early years of registration, many
births, and deaths were not registered, so there is only the baptismal
entry.)
