Francis Major SPRUNT; lived WESTLETON, Suffolk, b est 1860
Karen Ricepphanie NEWSON; wife
11 children; 9 boys, 2 girls, including:
Charles Lawrence SPRUNT; b 12 Jan 1897
d 27 Jun 1970
Samuel SPRUNT; b 22 Aug 1892
d 10 Feb 1977
F J SPRUNT; unknown
All the children were brought up in WESTLETON, Suffolk. All the boys
served in HM Forces. Charles and F J received the DCM in World War I.
Charles became a policeman in London. The family received a letter from
the King for the family's contribution to the "call of their country"
circa 1919.
It is quite likely, therefore, that the family were well known at that
time and that they would be remembered still by older members of that
community.
