go to my central library at Portsmouth, book a
viewer, get the details, and call the local registrar office that the
birth,m, or death was issued, find out the cost, and correct address, and
who to write the cheque to, (about £6.00) and save money. Also the copy is
much clearer than St Cath's.

Hi,
Just wondering if this service is available outside of England? Can we
get this information sent to our libraries here in Canada? While I find it
doubtful, it is worth asking!! For us it is a really expensive trip to St.
Catherines House!!
Is there anyone willing to do lookups for those of us who cannot get
access to these records? Of course I would reimburse costs.

Thanks,
