Chediston is the next parish to Halesworth and Beccles is another parish
not far away to the North East. I've found I've got an Elizabeth Rose
who was probably born in that area of Suffolk in about 1803 and who
married Stephan S(e)amons on 27 June 1825. The information came from an
ancestral file and the exact parish of the wedding has gone. My interest
comes through Stephan's mother Lydia Woolnough, who came from South
Elmham, All Saints/St Nicholas. This suggests that if you get back a
generation there will probably be Roses on the Suffolk IGI.
Looking at the index for the 1851 census there was a Marianne Rose
living in Beccles who was born in Bungay. I haven't got the index book
that covers Rose in Blything district in 1851.
