I am hoping someone can help me my Very Elusive ancestor my GGGrandfather
George JACKSON states on his marriage cert: that his parents are John
JACKSON and Elizabeth WHITE and that he came from Suffolk. The only birth I
have been able to find on the IGI born to these two people is a Frederic
Jackson of course I can't prove he is mine but Frederic is a Family name
handed down. I have been told that because Elizabeths' full name appears on
this Birth notice it means that Elizabeth and John weren't married at the
time. Does anybody know if this is a fact.My other problem is that according
to Georges Marriage {which is his 2nd} he was aged 50 in 1887 but on his
Death cert he died aged 83 in 1899. Hoping some-one may be able to shed some
light on my George or maybe he will remain Elusive for ever.There appears to
be no registration of his first Marriage so I am unable to get infomation re
his age at that time altough his first wife Margaret DAVIDSON was born in
Scotland in 1833.
