John,

Microfiche viewers are out-of-date techonolgy-wise, so a lot of large
firms and council offices will be throwing them away, or at least
flogging them off cheap.

Local council offices often have sales once a quarter to get rid of
old equipment and furniture - ring them up.

My local Gas Board offices threw about 100 fiche viewers in the skip!

When searching for a viewer, get one with dual magnification - the
IGI fiche are difficult to read on low mag.

Also, try and grab some spare bulbs as well - although you can
probably get them from a camera shop, as they're the same as in some
projectors.

Cheers,
Colin
