Hi Val and All

The IGI entries with "abt" are not from the LDS extraction program but
are submitted entries, and irrespective of the surname, generally are
for births.

In most cases, if you look for a name/place match 21 years after the
"birth", you will find a marriage entry. In these cases, the parish
given in the "abt" entry, is taken from the "of" place given for the
person on the marriage entry . The other much rarer alternative for
these "abt" entries is a birth entry calculated from age at death.

You can therefore put as much or as little weight on these "abt"
entries as you like, but you're highly unlikely to get an exact date
or place.

Peter

IGI of relevant Nunns and Brooks that have "abt" attached. I believe
these were submitted from an Aust. publication that contained a Howe
entry with ??? against the Nunns. What I'm after is dd/mm/yy & place.
