Hi Listers,
It's been a couple of months since we last appealled for information
you might have squirrelled away on inn- and beerhouse-keepers. As we
suggested, this may be information that you acquired in the course of
your own researches but which has no immediate relevance to them.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have
responded so magnificently with information, some of it from sources
that we would never have found, even with 24 hours a day, 365 days a
year searching.
Slowly but surely, gaps are being filled and new premises are being
added for the first time. Despite this, we still have whole cities
(small ones, admittedly), let along towns and villages for which we
have absolutely no entries.
May we - with the listowners indulgence - renew our appeal for ANY
information on pubs, inns, taverns, ale- or beer-houses, hotels,
coffee houses and gentlemen's clubs?
For those reading this for the first time who are unaware of our
project, may we invite you to visit our website (URL below) where all
will be explained - we hope!
