Subject: 1851 census request
Date: Thu, 1 Mar 2001 23:59:08 EST
I know this is a lot to ask, but could some kind soul who has access to the
1851 census of Woodbridge and Ipswich please look for my NEWMAN family.
Their particulars should resemble the following:
John NEWMAN Head 23 Baker b. Mattishall, Nfk.
Mary " Wife 24 - b. Dereham, Nfk.
John " Son 4 - b. Dereham, Nfk.
Mary Ann " Dau 1 - b. Mattishall, Nfk.
The reason I'm looking for this particular census extract is in hopes of
finding a more specific birth place for any of the above. It seems they do
not show up in GRO references or on parish records (at Mattishall anyway) in
these places of birth they gave on the 1861, 1871, 1881, and 1891 census.
They also do not appear on the 1851 Norfolk census, but had a child born at
Woodbridge and another at Ipswich by the 1861 census, so that is why I'm
searching these two areas for this census extract. Thank you for all of your
past kindnesses.
Kind Regards,
Jack Newman
