Hi Ted,

I fear your grandson will not have enough time to research your ancestor (?)
without some preparatory work by you.

If you care to visit < http://www.thedrapers.co.uk >

you will find that the website for the Worshipful Company of Drapers in
Throgmorton

Avenue is under construction BUT they provide an e-mail address for general
inquiries.

It is < mail @ thedrapers.co.uk >

I would urge you to correspond with them giving as much information as possible
because you are talking about very early dates.

After all, this guy died 4 years before Columbus sailed the ocean blue !

The only other place that is likely to have records that early is the City of
London's Guildhall Library within walking distance of The Drapers Hall.

They have a number of websites, probably the best one for you is :-

< http:www.ihr.sas.ac.uk/ihr/ghguide.html >

When you get down to Section 26, it looks like a blank page but keep scrolling
down because there are yards & yards more information !

Happy Hunting !
