Hello Leona
>> Suffolk 1851 Census Index Vol.8 Central-North Suffolk Stow District
>> Fol. 280 Hessett
>> Mary Ann Bland age 49 born Woolpit
>> Sarah age 25 born Bradfield St George
>> David age 24 born Hessett
>> George age 22 ditto
>> Arthur age 19 ditto
>> Jon age 17 ditto
>> Elijah age 14 ditto
>> Charles age 8 ditto
>> James age 1 ditto
>>
>> No John old enough to be Mary Ann's husband
They are all on the same folio, i.e. a folio is two pages on one spread and
can contain perhaps 30 names so one needs to look at the original to see the
relationships and if they are all at the same address. Perhaps you already
know this.
Looked at the 1881 Census from the LDS - one needs to be aware that it does
contain errors.
Found the following:
Ref. RG11 1848 64 12
Mary Ann Bland widow age 83 born Woolpit, living at the Green, Hessett
Ref. RG11 1837 25 22 Chedburgh Road, Whepstead
John Bland age 45 born Hessett
Mary age 42 born Whepstead
George Boreham age 26 born Horringer (now called Horningsheath)
Emma Boreham age 24 born Whepstead
John G. Borehamd age 2 born Whepstead
Ref. RG11 1848 32 8 Green, Drinkstone
Charles Bland age 38 born Hessett
Abi age 37 born Hessett
Charles age 8 born Drinkstone
Elijah age 7 ditto
David age 5 ditto
Thirza age 3 ditto
Florance age 9mths ditto
No trace of David, Sarah, George, Arthur and James age 1 in the 1851 Census
Perhaps this answers some questions
