I can't find my ancestor JEMIMA COATES ( nee BRIGHTON) anywhere on the 1881
census index.

She does not appear to be with her husband and son in 1881 or 1891. Yet she
died in Ipswich in 1912 aged 84 and was buried with her husband in Great
Bealings ( so must have still had family links).

She can't have remarried ( death registered under married name , and husband
did not die unitl 1899).

Has anybody got any ideas where to look ?
