Judy and Debbie

Thanks for your suggestions. I forgot to mention that I had actually tried George DONALD and George DO and George DITTO as well :-) The two George DONALDs are certainly possibilities although his birth is clearly REGISTERED in Mutford.

I am out of credits too - but will restock on Saturday.

Thanks.

Then I discovered among the male DREWs a Dorothy! So just to be sure I
searched for all the female DREWs of the right age but he isn't there
either. I am beginning to think this relative didn't exist (although I
understand he has grandchildren about the place!)

Any thoughts? Can anyone think of something I should have tried but haven't?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Michael

It think there is one possibility you haven't tried and that is that he was registered as George Donald without the Drew.

I found these two and whilst it says they were born in London, they are the only ones that fit the criteria. Mother may have been away from home for the birth because there were very early maternity hospitals at that time or she may have been staying elsewhere when she was overtaken by the birth. Many things are possible in genealogy.

I am sorry but at the moment I have no credits left or I would have looked for you but why not try these two they may be the right ones. I certainly think the second one could be a possibility.

George Donald 3 Carlisle Cumbd Cumberland St Cuthbert
George Donald 3 London Middlesex London St Pancras

Hope this helps
