Trudy

Can you tell us a little bit more - eg have you found them on the 1881 census,
have you checked the 1891 census for the same location, where did they reside,
did they move around and where else have you looked so far.

There are two MUMFORD/MUNFORD researchers listed on the Suffolk Surname List
(http://fp.suffolksurnames.plus.com), do they have any ideas?

Sorry that I have responded to your query with more questions but this may
elicit a little more help from the list.

none of them turned up, Emma's father, Richard (1808-1885) who lived with them
died in 1885, so I don't think they went anywhere before then, By 1901 the
eldest child Alfred would have been 31 and the youngest known child John would
have been 21, so all children would be old enough to be listed on their own with
their own families, the fact that none of them are there leads me to believe
that they definately went somewhere when all the children were still young
enough to be living at home.
