I am looking for my forebears from Suffolk, on the information I have
obtained, which I don't know how reliable it is. I have made up a chronical my
Great-great Grandfather's life in Suffolk
CHRONICAL OF PASTOR DANIEL ALLEN
1824-1891
These notes were taken from a book written by J. Roe with the support of Ryde
Particular Baptist Church h called Australia's Particular Baptist Heritage.

Daniel Allen Born 14 February 1824 in Stradbroke Pariish of Brundish Suffolk.
[His Marriage and Death Certificates have confirmed Date of his birth]
He had a sister about 1 year older [no name given]
Daniel states, " My parents were respectable, industrious. And in the middle
position of society. My Father was a member of a Baptist Church in the Village
of Stradbroke
His Father's name on Daniel's death Certificate is given as William his
Mother Christen name Unknown Surname Keeble
The book is gives Robert and Hannah Allen as the Parents?
Daniel's Mother died in 1826 when he was 21/2 years of age and is buried in
the Stradbroke Baptist Chapel Graveyard
After his Mother's death He and his Sister were taken to an uncle at Rendham
[or Rendow] 15 miles from Stradbroke
Later removed to Horham only 3 miles from were his Mother was buried there
they lived with another Uncle and after about 21/2 years were returned to their
Father's home in Newton Lane.
They attended Sunday School at the Laxfield Particular Baptist Chapel.
While on his Fathers Home His Father had a 2 homes built, but due to a
dispute over green timber rafters bending under the heavy pantiles upon the roof, he
stopped payment law began and after 12 months the Bailiffs stepped in and the
Sheriff sold up every thing. The Father continued fighting to have his goods
returned appearing in the court {or Assize] at Bury St. Edmunds about 30
miles. The trial was put off for6months and when it did come up the Father accepted
a settlement and returned home and started up again but not with a lot of
success eventually giving everything to his Brother left and came to Australia
this would be about 1834/35
His Uncle took the property and stock but did not want the children and as
the property was in 2 Parishes after a dispute which Parish they belonged to the
children were placed in the care of the church [Doesn't say which one}
There is not much more other than He had a hard time till immigrating to
Australia 1843 on the ship Neptune arriving in Sydney 11 February 1844 age 20
He was reunited with his Father at Launceston Tasmania that year
His Sister remained in Suffolk where she died and her children were send out
to Daniel in Tasmania [No other information of this]
Hoping this information may find an answer to my search
