Hello,

I don't know about Stradbroke Baptist Church, but those at Horham and
Laxfield are still going strong, and are listed in the current Grace Baptist
Directory, which suggests that they are still "Particular Baptist" (as
opposed to "General Baptist", the difference being a theological one which
isn't appropriate to go into here, though if anyone would like to know more
about it, just contact me off list).

The Church Secretary at Laxfield is:

Mr G J Chambers
Conifers
Vicarage Road
Laxfield
Woodbridge
Suffolk
UK
IP13 8DT

(I don't have an email address for him, I'm afraid).

For Horam, the secretary is Mr J. Ladbrook, and his email address is:

These people might (and I stress the "might") have some helpful
information. Worth a try, anyway.

Regarding "Rendham [or Rendow] 15 miles from Stradbroke", Rendham is just
over 9 miles (15 kilometres) from Stradbroke. I haven't heard of Rendow,
but there is a place called Rendlesham about 14 miles from Stradbroke.

Both Horham and Laxfield are within a few miles of Stradbroke.

I hope this is of some help.
