Which begs the question as to why Ancestry.com (who own Rootsweb) harvest
email addresses from Rootsweb lists and advertise their wares to all and
sundry. Hmmmmm

To my mind making others aware of new services, but not actively promoting
them, is just part of what we are all here for. This new service is just as
commercial as the PRO's wills online, or the 1901 census site, yet I have
yet to see complaints about them being "adverstised".
