Folks,
Keith makes some good points, however, let's not forget who provides us
all with this FREE listmail service ... Ancestry ... and even though we
might have some issues with their commercial practices, those issues are
off-topic for this list. If anyone has issues with Ancestry and/or their
practices, the place to air them is elsewhere, not here.
As for the posting of commercial site addresses, I simply ask that they
be cleared through me first for approval, that's all, so that I can be
sure the posts don't violate the AUP, which I'm sure we have all memorised.
Users' experiences with commercial sites (good and bad) are welcome as
long as there's no "commercial" aspect to those posts (such as
references to fee structures, etc.).
If this seems somewhat harsh to some, I apologise, but that's the way it is.
