According to this page -
http://www.mysuffolkfamily.com/sfkoverview.html
there was a silk process known as "silk twisting" in Suffolk so could they be Silk Twisters.
However this also shows "Silk Throwing" as an industry practised in Hadleigh so they could be Silk Throwers? (this means spinner)

Good morning List,
After partially sorting out my 60 pages of notes from the Suffolk Archives,
I have a query.........probably a few, but this one first.
On the 1851 Census for Kersey, Marianne and Sarah Seggar's occupations are
shown as 'Factory, Silk.................. looks like ....pha....nster.'
In 1861 Sarah and Susannah Seggar are shown as 'Silk ?throwster'.
Any idea anyone?
And............why haven't I any Census returns for 1871? Did I miss them?
Thanks everyone - I am sure someone will know the answers to these probably
obvious questions.
