As a number of people have answered Peterborough has 'moved' from
Northamptonshire to Cambridgeshire but it is now a Unitary Authority. Just
recently Peterborough City Council has set up its own archives and they are
trying to bring some documents back to the city. For instance, they have the
City Council archives from 1874, records from the Peterborough Gentleman's
Society in the18th and 19th century, and the Baker Perkins archive to name
but a few. For more information about the new archives service, visit
www.peterboroughheritage.org.uk and click on 'Peterborough Archive Service'.

Good hunting

Linda (from Peterborough)
