Meloved (Milly) BYARS (b. 1810/15; d. 14 May 1862) married Noah SULLINS (d.
1828/30; son of Zachariah & Phebe [_____] SULLINS) on 8 Nov 1827 in
Rutherford Co., NC.
"Meloved" is listed on the 1830 census of 2nd Regiment, Rutherford Co., NC,
p. 484, with a girl under age 5. I suppose that was her and Noah's
daughter, but I've never seen a name for her.
Around 1835, Milly married Jacob BROOKS (b. c.1810), son of David &
Elizabeth (SMART) BROOKS. Jacob had a son, Lawson BROOKS, when they
married. Apparently, Milly and Jacob's children were Cisely Susannah
(BROOKS) WALL, David Mack BROOKS, Nancy Catherine (BROOKS), Jane (BROOKS)
WILKIE, John Monroe BROOKS, and Joseph Harvey BROOKS.
"Rutherford Co., NC, Heritage," Vol. 1, #145, is a source for information
about Milly (BYARS) (SULLINS) BROOKS. Sorry I don't have a date for it,
nor know where one can find it.
I'd love to get birthdates for all of Milly's children. And whatever
became of the little girl on the 1830 census?

Several times I have made additions and corrections to that list and I will
keep doing so as I get new information.
Enjoy your heritage.

and Faith in the Future,
