Subject: [SULOUFF & SULOFF] Sulouffs in Ohio
Date: Mon, 23 Apr 2001 10:59:24 -0400
It's me again, for the second time today. I am looking for a way that my grandparents - Gertrude Anderson (daughter of 'Kate' Sulouff and James Anderson), Mifflintown, Juniata Co. PA and John Kerr, of Salineville, Columbiana Co. OH could have met and married.
The information I listed on Gertrude's death certificate notes that she had lived in Ohio since she was 21 - which would be 1891. Her mother, 'Kate', died in 1890. Were their any Sulouffs who lived or moved to the eastern part of Ohio in the 1880's or early 90's that Kate may have visited or gone to live with?
The only other connection I can make is possibly through their religion. Though both 'Kate' and James lie buried in the Westminster Presbyterian Church cemetery, I note that 'Kate' is listed as a Methodist Episcopalian in Nelson's book. John Kerr was also a Methodist Episcopalian.
