Phebe,
I see Greg answered your question regarding the location of the Knoxville
monument. I find it amazing that the visitor's center were not aware of
its existence. This just goes to show how much more education is needed.
Or, maybe you just talked with the one and only person who did not know of
it. Perhaps we ought to call or write them and give them the scoop.
Are you aware of the plaque honoring the men of the Sultana at Marion,
Arkansas (Fulton's Landing)? There is also a memorial along the beautiful
walk along the Ohio River at Cincinnatti - the birthplace of the boat.
We'll keep telling their story.

We were told there is a monument to the Sultana in Knoxville TN.
When we were there last July we tried to find it, with no luck. We even
asked at the visitors center, who not only did not know but did not even
know about the Sultana.
Could someone be so kind to give the location and general area of the city.
Phebe Morgan
