AFFLICK / AFFLECK; KNA>MDX,ENG>NSW,AUS; 1780-
I am presently researching the family of my husband and any information
that can be contributed will be of assistance.
William AFFLICK b 1780 St Kitts, West Indies joined 10th Regiment
Hussars in 1801. He married Elizabeth Roach, an English girl and they
had 2? children - Charles Joseph b 1811 Brighton, England & Jane. In
1832 Charles was transported to Australia, for a disputed claim of
stealing a gown worth 3s, and served 7 years at Bathurst NSW.
The years between 1839 & 1849 are a bit of a mystery, but in 1849 he
married Ann Cleary in Sydney, they settled in Ulladulla NSW where they
had 10 children, and became prosperous farmers.
Any information about William AFFLICK/AFFLECK (both spellings have been
used at different times), Charles' years between 1832 & 1849 would
enlighten us immensely. 2 other 3rd cousins of my husbands and I are
working on this, one of them has been working for over 10 years
collecting data.
Thanks in advance of any assistance
