BAKER Joseph / GOFF / GOFFE / GAUFFE Julia; ENG > KS,USA; 1840-1904
My great grandparents, Joseph BAKER, and his wife, Julia GOFFE,
according to family lore, originated in either London, England or
Oxford, England. I am hoping to learn the identity of their parents,
the definite site of their origins, and information regarding their
trip from England to the United States. Joseph was born in 1840 and
Julia in 1846. Their marriage occured in the time span of 1870-72.
They left England soon after their marriage and traveled to Parkerville,
Kansas, where they lived for the rest of their lives. They had 2
daughters, Fanny Mary (born in 1873) and Charlotte Louise (born in
1876,) after arriving in Kansas.
