Hello List,
I'm looking for a marriage, probably in St. Leonards or Hastings, about
1831-1833, between a man surnamed TINDALL and a girl named Mercy, hopefully
surnamed WILLARD. In the 1851 census of Ore, Sussex, I found Mercy TINDALL, a
widow, age 40, born at Guestling, with children Thomas age 17, Harriet age
15, James age 13, Ann age 11 and Mary age 1. All the children except Mary
were born at St. Leonards per the census with Mary being born at Ore. The
only girl I found chr in Guestling who would match Mercy is Mercy WILLARD, a
sister to my 3rd ggf. Mercy also had another daughter chr in 1858 at
Guestling named Mary so the Mary age 1 in 1851 must have died. If anyone
knows of this family or may know the fathers name, or marriage date of
parents please let me know, or if anyone has access to St. Leonards chr
records and could do a lookup for the children that would be great. Thanks

Regards,
Scott
Manteca, Ca.
