For Karen in San Diego,

I have access to the Burchell collection of Sussex church records
through my local LDS. Included is material taken from the Bishop's
Transcripts of All Saint's Parish, Lewes. Here I found your folks:

Marriage
1739, 26 July
Wilmshurst, John, Buxted, to
Cogging, Mary, same, licence.

This is in British Film FHL 1364160. It is a typed transcript, not the
original parish record, but I found the same entry in two places. One
was a "bare bones" record, the other a complete copy of the Bishop's
Transcript entry. There was not much difference between the two, except
in format! I hope the reference to Buxted gives you a lead in tracking
this couple further.
