We are not honoring victims according to the President. We are mourning our
nation's loss. What I object to is the media saying we are "honoring" the
victims. That connotes that they did something worthy of honor or of being
saluted. Mourning victims is an entirely different thing. The President has
called for us to officially grieve, so my flag is at half staff. Let's
remember that words mean things and "honor" means something far different
than "mourn" or "grieve".

Just to pick a nit, the subject line sould read "VA shootings"
