We are indeed that group of people. We, at one time, actually had about
eight members who were members of the SCV, SUVCW AND the MOS&B. While the MOS&B
had no problem with the whole idea (and the Virginia Society Commander was
even present at the chartering of our SUVCW camp!), we caught an incredible
amount of flak from, not the SCV e-mail list, but the other thing (the Dispatch)
that was used by many who some might refer to as some of the more radical
leaning SCV members. I think what took the cake was when we proposed that we do
things, as SCV members, with the SUVCW camp - in partnership - things just
really went wild then as too many members on the Dispatch started thinking and
saying all sorts of things, which were all ill-informed and incorrect. So, in
essence, when we would do something as members of the SCV camp with members
of the SUVCW camp, it was not so "sinister" as some in the SCV implied (the
"non-affiliation policy" with the SCV got silly at this point as too many
members of the SCV speculated far too much - I sort of took it more as an
unwritten "non-association" policy than a "non-affiliation policy) as we were
actually the same people, but with memberships in both organizations (and the SUVCW
members were actually the most active members in our SCV camp!). The SCV
camp is near dead now because of the whole affair - it also lost about 5-6
members over the whole ordeal - myself included.

Is this the area where members of the SCV camp set up an SUVCW camp about a
year or so ago? I recall it caused quite serious stir on SCV email lists
although it was quite an education for some members who have become less
antagonistic towards the SUVCW and a few even quite friendly to me
personally.
