There really is a small militant minority in the SCV but they are loud and
sometimes even tend toward violence. They ar enot interested in a debate or
any level headed discussion. Sadly, when we revived the SUVCW in Georgia
some of our members, including me, recieved threats of violence from them.
One of my members was nearly assaulted a few weeks ago! Interestingly, there
were other SCV camps, the majority by my count, who welcomed us and reached
out a hand of friendship. One SCV camp even donated to our flag fund! On
Memorial Day Observance at Marietta Cemetery I had a warm and friendly
conversation with several SCV members who were there to lay wreaths at the
ceremony.
Let's just remain vigilant to the hot-heads and the militants in the SCV and
cooperate with the reasonable majority. Just for the group's edification,
the moderator of this list server is a member of both organizations.

Department of Georgia and South Carolina.
