Can anybody help me out with anything here? Need advice on where the port of departure might have been for these
Holligers and any tips you can supply. Thanks,

FIRST GENERATION

1. Holliger.

The Holligers most likely lived in the Canton Aargau, Switzerland, perhaps near the villages of Seengen or
Boniswil.

Holliger had the following children:

+2 i. Jakob Holliger.
+3 ii. Gottlieb Holliger.

SECOND GENERATION

2. Jakob Holliger was born in 1857 in Switzerland. He emigrated in 1882 from Switzerland. He died in 1931 in
Missouri. He was buried in Zion Lutheran Cemetery,
Prairie City, Bates County, Missouri.

He was married to Anna Unknown. Anna Unknown was born in 1856 in Switzerland. She died in 1902 in Missouri. She
was buried in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Prairie
City, Bates County, Missouri.

3. Gottlieb Holliger was born on Jan 29 1859 in Switzerland. He emigrated in 1890/91 from Switzerland. He died
in 1935 in Missouri. He was buried in Zion Lutheran
Cemetery, Prairie City, Bates County, Missouri.

He was married to Maria E. Senne in 1883.

The April 20, 1910 census for Prairie Township, Bates County, MO indicates that Gottlieb(Gottfried in the census)
and Maria(Mary in the census) were born in Switzerland
or Germany. The children listed were in the 1910 census with Rose(Rosa in the census), age 13, shown elsewhere, as
living with the John Shockey family as a servant. Some
of the children were born in Switzerland, while one(probably Emma) was said to have been born onboard ship during
the trip to America. Year of emigration for Gottlieb and
Maria is given as 1890 or 1891. German was spoken in the home. Prairie Township was heavily populated with people
of Swiss and German descent. Rockville and Prairie
are adjoining townships in the far southeast corner of Bates County, Missouri which is on the Kansas border.

Maria E. Senne was born on May 13 1859 in Switzerland. She emigrated in 1890/91 from Switzerland. She died in
1917 in Missouri. She was buried in Zion Lutheran
Cemetery, Prairie City, Bates County, Missouri. Gottlieb Holliger and Maria E. Senne had the following children:

4 i. Mary Holliger was born in 1882 in Switzerland.
5 ii. Ervin Holliger was born in May 1888 in Switzerland.
6 iii. Emma Holliger was born in Feb 1891 in Switzerland.
7 iv. Elma Holliger was born in Jun 1893 in Missouri.

+9 vi. Fred Holliger.
10 vii. Hulda Holliger was born in 1902 in Missouri.
11 viii. Bertha(DeBertie) Holliger was born in 1906 in Missouri.
12 ix. Ralph Holliger.



THIRD GENERATION

8. Rose Holliger was born on Aug 21 1895 in Missouri. She died in Jun 1979. She was buried on Jun 28 1979 in
Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Independence, Missouri.
She had Social Security Number 561-20-7079.

She was married to Lester Preston (son of Samuel Anderson Preston and Sarah Adaline Long). She was divorced from
Lester Preston. Lester Preston was born on Apr 17
1891 in Rockville, Bates County, Missouri. He died on Jan 9 1981 in Appleton City, St. Clair County, Missouri. He
had Social Security Number 492-18-5577. He was
buried in Rockville Cemetery, Rockville, Bates County, Missouri. Lester spent most of his life carrying on the
tradition of the family farm near Rockville. Rose Holliger and
Lester Preston had the following children:

+14 ii. Walter William Preston.

Rose Holliger and William Burton had the following children:

+15 i. Lewis Burton.
+16 ii. Margaret Elizabeth Burton.

She was married to Tom Patrick.

She was married to Henry Dungan.

9. Fred Holliger was born on Apr 1 1899 in Missouri. He died in Mar 1969.

Fred Holliger had the following children:

17 i. Ronald Holliger was born about 1923. He died in Aug 1999.
18 ii. Hayes Holliger.
19 iii. Harold Holliger.
20 iv. Robert Holliger.
