Subject: [SWVA-NETN-SEKY-CHAT] A note from the listowner

Hi everyone:

Just reviewed the subscriber's list and it continues to grow! I'm proud that
we are getting up and running! I do not intend to run the list with an iron
hand and screen every post. Just be prudent in what you do. I'd also like
any suggested gudielines we'd like to govern ourselves by sent to me so I can
post them!

Here is a list of counties that I propose we concentrate our discussions on.
It is NOT all inclusive or exclusive. Discussion and information transfer is
always welcome. If I have missed one or if you'd like to add one, just drop
me an email

I am not a historian nor have I been to all these counties, however I have
been through most of them at one time or another. Historical facts of the
counties are welcomed. I'm a history nut as much as a genealogy nut! The
history of these counties often give me an insight as to the background of my
ancestors and their lives.

I am researching the follwing surnames: DUNCAN, SCALF, FERGUSON and the
different associated lines that branch out. Any information is helpful. I
try to maintain a file of "not yet connected" information. Never know when
it may become helpful.

Best wishes,
