I have a copy of court paper from Prince Georges Cty Maryland that Giles
Vermillion was an indenture servant to a James Green in 1699. He was
thirteen years old. Giles married Jan ?, of scottish descent. Moved to
sourthern Virginia near Petersburg where Giles along with his son John
Vermillion (1712) were engaged in the iron business. The next information
I have is William Wilson b. 1750 and Jesse born. 1752 William Wilson move
to Russell county on Cedar Creek. Sold his land in Russell County to
William Garrett and removed to Lee County where he died after March 5,
1824. Married Nancy McNeil Vermillion
Had the following children Mary Vermillion , Jessee, Thomas, William,
Wilson, Joh,, Oliver, Frances, Elizabeth, Martha.

I have bits and pieces after this however, I don't know where my
grandfather fits in. I think my grandfather's father was James Wilson born
1824 who was a srandson of Wilson who was born in 1750. But I can't figure
out who James Wilson's father was.
