Hello:
I am a new member to the list and would like to ask if there is anyone who
might be able to help with a problem. My Williams line originates with
Richard Williams and Margaret Jones of Loudon Co., Va. Their sons Joseph (b
1748) and Jenkin came to Wythe Co., what is now Smyth Co., VA. I have two
direct lines to Joseph. One is Elizabeth Williams, his daughter who married
William Bonham. The other is through his son Thomas Williams (b 1785) who
married Susan (Polly) Harvey, born in Tennessee. I have for years thought my
next generation was Thomas's son, Harvey Nathaniel who married Christina E.
Jones in Smyth Co. in 1850. In reviewing some recent records, I am about to
conclude that this Harvey Nathaniel may actually be a grandson of Thomas and
son of another Harvey, son of Thomas. I know this is confusing but it's
coming from someone who is now completely confused! :) If anyone happens to
be searching this line and can shed some light on the children of Thomas, I
would greatly appreciate it.
