I offer the following as my "introduction" to the list.

In a surname book on the Lovell family, it indicated a link to the Magna
Charta Sureties. I checked it out in a book on the MCS, and sure
enough, it indicates that Naomi Torrey, the dau of William Torrey and
Jane Haviland, is a MCS descendant. After that link is made, dozens of
lines go back hundreds of years.

What is the current thinking of that line of descent. Is Naomi the dau
of William and Jane?

Let me make sure this "checks out" with the list. I've not done much on
this link. . .
