joanrose asked:-
Is the Episcopal Church in Scotland organised sort of on same lines?

Best not to give it that name, as it is an indiginous church, not one IN
Scotland. The structure is different from the episcopal church in England
and Wales - the Anglican church.
The Scottish Episcopal Church is certainly part of the Anglican communion,
but its bishops are not apppointed, they are elected, they do not sit in
the House of Lords, etc; and mostly the Scottish episcopal church uses an
elected system of government.
In England, the Church of England (Anglican church) is the Established
Church, but in Scotland the Scottish Episcopal church can be regarded as a
remnant of the Episcopal system of the Scottish church in the 1600s.
