Earl, I don't know if this will be of any help, but my great-great
grandfather John A. Tally was born in 1817 in Franklin TN. I know who his
children were and there was no Eliza, but she could possibly be the child of
one of his siblings. His father was Allen Tally who was probably from
Chatham Co. NC (internet information -- not documented). Unfortunately, I
have no names of any of Allen's children other than John, but Allen might be
a starting point for you. If you find out anything about him, I would be
most grateful if you would let me know. I will do the same. Helen French
