1 Burwell S. Tanner m. Elizabeth. Came to Obion Co., TN, before 1830. Came
from Carolinas or Virginia.

2 Sam Burl Tanner 1880-1964 m. Aurora C. Kendall 1881-1964. Came to Dorena,
MO, in 1922, from Obion Co., TN. Where they both were born and raised.
(Auroras father or grandfather was Robert Smith Kendall m. Eliza Simpson came
to Obion Co., TN, abt 1850, and settled near Hornbeak.)

John Tanner, descendant, of Union Co., TN, is member of US Congress from TN
