Ken,
I would be interested in your information on Alabama Tanner. I have a Fannie
Breland Tanner who married an Elias David Rudd. They are out of Barnwell Co.
and Beaufort Co. SC. Elias and Fannie had a son named William Wesley Rudd
that settled in Dale Co. then Pike Co. AL. They also had a nephew Burrel Rudd
who settled in Coffee Co. AL. Elias Rudd and Fannie Tanner eventually
settled in Gadsden Co, FL, however, previous to there time in AL they were in
Jefferson Co. FL.
In the "History of Beaufort South Carolina" there are 2 Tanner men, Robert
and Joseph Tanner, that lead migrations out of St. Peter's Parish Beaufort,
SC down the Mississippi River. However, I think one of these men might be
connected to my Fannie Tanner and some of her Tanner family might have gone
to Pike, Coffee and Dale Co. AL.
Thanks,
Linda Rudd
