I need help!!! I have a Josie Couch who is married to a William Tanner in McMinnville Tenn. on June 17, 1886. They are
the parents of: James Author Tanner b. May 1887, Alice Maggie Tanner b. January 14, 1889, and Herman John Tanner b. June 7, 1893. I have a copy of Wm. and Josie's marriage record. I can not find any further info on Wm. I assume he died as Josie married James Thomas Cope on January 10, 1895 in McMinnvile. Does anyone have any info on this William or who he belongs to? When Josie marreid Cope they left Tenn. and moved to Texas. .When Herman John died, they listed his father as "Jim" so I am wondering if William ,ight have been William James or James William, or if it was a mistake in Herman's death book. Please let me know if anyone can help. Thanks
