Re: Tanners of Perry Co, TN

If you're looking for Wiley Tanner, eighth child of Samuel Tanner (The Elder) you've found him. Samuel is my gggg-grandfather, through his second son Thomas Tanner.
My line is Samuel (1) - Thomas (2) - Stephen (3) - Thomas Milo Tanner (4) - and his daughter Virginia Etter Tanner (5) married to John Franklin Reese.

Descendants of Samuel Tanner - Generation No. 1

1. Samuel Tanner was born 1744 in Duplin County, North Carolina, and died 1835 in Franklin County, Illinois. He married unknown in ? North Carolina.

You may have noticed that Samuel's three eldest sons, James; Thomas and John, married the three Jernigan girls, daughters of Stephen Jernigan of Duplin County, North Carolina.

I have lots of Tanner Research from Samuel back this way. Duplin County, NC; Muhlenberg, KEN, Saline and Union Counties, Illinois, Cape Girardeau and Stoddard Counties, Missouri. Let me know what you have and what you're looking for.
