(1) Westley Cockerham was the son of John Tarver Cockerham and ANNA DRAKE.
John Tarver Cockerham was the son of John Cockerham, JR. and Nancy Tarver .

John Tarver Cockerham was born Amite County, but he married both his first and
second wives in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. My notes indicate he died in
Amite County, but I did not note my source, so that needs to be confirmed. I
should have this in my hardcopy files, if there were probate records for
him in
Amite County, as I copied all of the early probate reocrds for Cockerhams &
Tarvers when I was in Amite Co., Ms last summer.

John Tarver Cockerham married (1) Anna Drake on 16 August 1838 in Catahoula
Parish, Louisiana. Anna Drake Cockerham died in Catahoula Parish abt. 1871.
Their son WESTLEY Cockerham was born abt. 1852. They had 7 other children.

Children of JOHN COCKERHAM and ANNA DRAKE are:

ii. PHOEBE COCKERHAM, b. Abt. 1841.

John Tarver Cockerham married (2), Sarah M. Flowers on 04 April 1872 in
Catahoula Parish.

(2) John Cockerham, JR., the son of Old John Cockerham, SR (Barnwell, SC >
Amite
Co., Ms), and his wife Nancy Tarver were the parents of WEST COCKERHAM (who
marr
ELIZA KITTERLIN).

WEST COCKERHAM was was born 30 July 1816 in Amite County, Mississippi, and
died
07 November 1858 in Trinity, Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. West married ELIZA
KITTERLIN abt. 1845 in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana, the daughter of JOHN
KITTERLIN and MARTHA (surname unknown). ELIZA KITTERLIN COCKERHAM died
bef. 24
January 1848 in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana.

WEST COCKERHAM married (2) MARY CATHERINE GUSS abt. 1851 in Catahoula Parish,
Louisiana.

Eliza Cockerham, dec'd, daughter of John and Martha Kitterlin, and late
wife of
the petitioner, West Cockerham, who represents that they have 1 infant child
named, Eliza. Dated 24 Jan 1848.

Also in files: Harman [Hiram?] Cockerham died intestate in the year 1834 and
was indebted to James M. Daughters, who applied to become Administrator, he
being a creditor of the Estate. A Bill Due from the Estate of Harman [Hiram?]
Cockerham to John Brown for cost Planks and making his coffin for $10.00.

West and Eliza's daughter, ELIZA COCKERHAM was b. ca. 1846 - 1847.
