Other than the census figures that you give in your post, you made only one
other mention of Sterling -- and I am unclear how you believe he fits into
your tree, however I can add the following about him. (I do have more on
his descendants.)
Dub Brown is researching this line and may be helpful to anyone who shares
this lineage. His web site is at: http://www.hal-pc.org/~wibr/homeweb.htm
Simon Sterling "Starling" Tarver of Jefferson Co., GA
is said to be the s/o James Tarver
Sterling Simon TARVER was born on Jun 4 1797 in North Carolina.
He died on Sep 22 1875 in Chester, Tyler County, Texas.
He was buried in Chester, Tyler County, Texas.
He marr (1) unknown with whom he had 2 known children (daughters).
He marr (2) Mary A. Brown
January 10, 1822, Lawrence County, Mississippi.
Mary was the d/o Francis Brown and Mary Spiers.
Mary Brown's parents are said to be from NC.
She was born in Jefferson Co., Ga, but
has siblings born in Mississippi (Hancock, Lawrence and Lincoln Co's)
Mary Brown and Sterling Tarver had 12 known children,
all born in Lawrence Co., Mississippi, I believe.
They then moved to Texas.
Mary Brown and Sterling Tarver are both buried in
Tarver Cemetery, near Chester, Tyler County, Texas.
The gg grandson of Sterling is William Franklin Tarver who lives in
Chester, Tyler County, TX. William's father was Barney Burl Tarver and his
father was Christopher Columbus Tarver.
