Samuel, the son of Sarah Rogers and John Tarver ... from my notes ...

After his mother's death, the guardians for Samuel, born 1757, were
James and Faith ROGERS WOOTEN, with whom he was entrusted until 1775; then
with his uncle, Michael ROGERS, brother of his mother Sarah. Faith was
his mother's sister.

: 1768
23 Feb 1768 Mary Tarver, orph. came to court and chose James WOOTEN for
her guardian, WOOTEN also to be guardian to William and Samuel Tarver,
bonds made.

: 1775
Brother of Sarah, Michael ROGERS, granted guardianship. (See
Johnston Co., North Carolina Court Minutes, 1759-1766, ... re: ROGERS,
Tarver, LOWRY)

: 1781
Samuel sold the land inherited from his father to Mark Simms. He moved his
family to Knox Co., Tennessee in late 1820's.

Will take a look at the William for you.
Thanks. :)
