James Tarver, b. abt 1755 Northampton Co., North Carolina. Appears in
1810 NC census. Moved from Northampton County to Franklin Co., North
Carolina about 1801 as verified by tax rolls from early 1800's. Appears
at an estate sale in Franklin Co., NC 1822.

James Tarver, Jr. b. 1770-1780 in Northampton Co., NC. From Northampton
Co., NC to Franklin Co., NC with his father. On tax rolls in 1807 for the
first time. Left NC and moved to Lawrence Co., Mississippi before
1814. On 13th Reg't (Nixon's) Mississippi Militia muster roll for Jan
5 - Feb 5, 1815. On Lawrence Co., MS census in 1820 and in 1830.

John Houston Tarver (of Catahoula Par., LA), son of James Tarver, Jr. born
January 23, 1814 in Mississippi, died July 1902 in Rosefield, Catahoula
Par., Louisiana.

(NOTE: Hinde Hilsman b. Jan 25, 1744, bapt. Mar 17, 1744, Charles Parish,
York Co., Virginia to Bennett Hilsman & Frances Hinde. History and
Registers: Births 1648-1789, FHL film no. 1033913, batch
no. C504701. Went to North Carolina with his father where he was
co-administrator of his fathers estate. Does anyone have a copy of the
will/estate? Hinde and wife Martha had 7 known children, including Sally
who marr James Tarver and Reddick to whom James & Sally sold the above
land - also Nancy mentioned in the deed.)
