Another connection between the families you might want to be aware ...

Identified children of their marriage are (to my knowledge):
Mary Tarver who m. Samuel Richmond
Elizabeth Tarver m. William Herrington
Nancy Jane Tarver m. William J. Ridgeway
John Wesley Tarver m. (1) Mary Virginia Spires (2) Lydia Jane Minshew
Benjamin Franklin Tarver m. Martha Ann Barnett
Allen Tarver (1832-1863) Leake Co., MS

John, Benjamin and Allen are on Leake Co censuses in 1840, 1850, 1860 and
1870.

Allen is in the household of ALBERT GEORGE TARVER with his wife &
family. Albert goes to Texas in 1871. His borther, James preceded him -
maybe around 1861.

Albert George and James Lafayette Tarver are among the children of
Benjamin Tarver & Mary Ann Sanders (also 3 daughters) - Benjamin was a son
of Judith Cockerham.

Benjamin Tarver was in Madison Co., Mississippi from about 1831 until 1840
when he was enumerated there on the census. He is deceased before 28 Oct
1844 when a citation was issued to Elijah L. Tarver, Guardian Ad Litem for
Mary C., James L., and Albert G. Tarver, minor children of Benjamin Tarver
deceased. His wife Mary Tarver, appears on 1850 census in Attala County
with children in her household. Son, Albert George, is 18.

: Lott's receipt for their share of the Jn. Cockerham estate reads

James, age 14, male, Mississippi
Lucinda, age 11, female, Mississippi
Lornea, age 8, female, Mississippi [Mary Lorenea]
(That's Benjamin's widow and children.)

So ... what is the relationship between the two families?

Note: Judith Cockerham and _______ Tarver had a son Lott (brother of
the dec'd Benjamin named above) --- Additionally, Allen Tarver
and Elizabeth Cockerham had a son Elisha Lott Tarver - important to
distinguish between the two.

Judith's son Lott married (1) Emmaline (indian) by whom he had one child,
a daughter named Mary Elizabeth Tarver who marr. Seaborn Bickham
Wainwright. This dau born in TEXAS. Lott marr (2) Eliza Neal in Amite
Co., by whom he had 7 children.

Allen & Elizabeth's son Elisha Lott marr. Hannah French Hamilton.

Lott:
Born in Amite Co., Mississippi, Lott was working as a farmer, with
property valued at $1,000 when the Amite Co., was enumerated in December
1850. He and his wife, Eliza, had 2 Neal children (all born in Ms.) and 2
Tarver children, living in the hh at the time. One Tarver child,
Elizabeth, 11 at the time of the census, would have been Mary Elizabeth,
the child of Lott and wife (1) Emmaline, said to have been a native
America Indian whom he married in Texas. Lott was dec'd by Nov 24th 1866
when Eliza rec'd $106.50 from his estate as partial payment of one years
support for her & her children.
