I went back through the file and another certificate identifies the
land transaction of 1908 as dealing with the land purchases of
John Tarver on Nov 6, 1816 - 156.54 acres
Burket Thompson, same day - 155.61 acres
Kenner Harvey, Aug 11, 1818 - 74.42 acres

Other dates mentioned are transactions on Dec 10, 1816 & June 30, 1827 and
official plats of survey approved on Mar 9 & May 9, 1848 --

Approved for patent April 14, 1908.

Thomas Mcdowell assignee for John Tarver, Burket Thompson & Kenneth
Harvey.

Will get this doc transcribed as it details the sec/range/twp etc.

Still not the earliest land transactions, but will go through the file
again. Hard on my eyes to decipher for long so ...
