Sharon,

Dempsey has always been a first name in our family never a last name. It is
Gaelic meaning "The Proud." In our family history there are only two females
with the rest being male. We are descended from French Swiss Hugenaughts who
migrated thru England and Ireland before coming to the South and migrating
thru the Southern States to Texas.
