I don't think this is correct. I'm pretty sure that George TARWATER,
probable son of Michael and Caty Trotter TARWATER, is living in Hempstead
Co. Arkansas in this time period. As a first indicator, let me cite:

which suggests he was in Hempstead by 1843.
George and family also appear on the 1850 Hempstead Census. It is possible
he passed through Alabama on the way, and left a child behind, but I'd want
pretty serious proof before jumping to any such conclusion.
It's been a good while since I tried to break down the count showing how
many males were in the Michael Tarwater family in 1840, that might be
another way to check the supposition.
